What impressions do you have of entrance exams?

On the day of entrance exams, the weather was very hot. In addition, my heart ached from anxiety. After 15 minutes, I stopped worrying and concentrated all my attention on the questions.

Why did you choose this speciality?

I really hoped that I would score 700 points in the entrance exams. When I was in 10th grade, I found out that Information Security was the most prestigious and sought-after speciality in the 1st group of specialities. I also talked with the students who scored 700 points, and they confirmed it. Therefore, I set a goal - to enter Information Security Department.

How did you find out about Baku Higher Oil School?

I first heard about Baku Higher Oil School in the gymnasium, where most of the students were preparing to enter the BHOS.

Why did you choose the BHOS?

I found out that the school provides good learning opportunities in line with my speciality. In addition, I learned that the graduates of Baku Higher Oil School are provided with employment. It is because of these advantages that I decided to study in this school.

How did you achieve your goal to study at Baku Higher Oil School?

I don’t think it’s enough to study day and night in order to score high points at entrance exams. A solid knowledgebase must already be formed in school years, so that it wouldn’t be difficult for a person to prepare for entrance exams. It is important to work according to plan and consistently to achieve the goal. Studies should be combined with relaxation. It is also necessary to observe a sleeping schedule.

What can you say about the role of your family in your education?

My family has always tried to support me both in my education and my formation as a person. My family consists of five people: mother, father, sister, brother and me. My father is a chemist, my brother is an electrical engineer, my sister is an accountant, and my mother is a housewife. Most of all we liked exact sciences. I especially loved math.

What do you want more than anything in your life?

My biggest dream is to work at Microsoft and see the beautiful nature of Switzerland.

            Do you have any hobbies?

I read books, listen to music and dance in my free time.

What other areas interest you besides your speciality?

I am interested in law. I admire lawyers. They work hard and possess cast-iron logic.  And I would like to deepen my knowledge in this area.

What genre of books do you like to read?

I mostly read detective stories and dramas. Agatha Christie is my favorite author of the detective genre. Her books are always interesting to read. My favorite drama writer is Khalid Hussein. I especially like his book “The Kite Runner”.

What goals do you want to achieve during your studies at the BHOS and after its completion?

I want to improve my knowledge of English and Russian languages and perfectly master my speciality over the next 5 years. In future, I want to go to the US, which is one of the countries providing the best education in the field of information technology, in order to continue studying there for a master's degree. I think that this will increase my chances of getting a job at Microsoft.
