Laboratory of proccess automation

Following equipments, made in Germany, are used for the practical laboratorycourses held in Computer & ICT deparment:

EasyPIC v7 is the seventh generation of MikroE famous PIC development board. It is the product of accumulated knowledge over the past 10 years, and it’s state of the art of design, functionality and quality. This board which can be programmed with over 380 PIC microcontrollers is used for the laboratory tasks for "Microprocessor technique" course in Baku Higher Oil School.

The SIMATIC S7-300 universal controller is specially designed for innovative system solutions in manufacturing, specifically the automotive and packaging industries. This modular controller serves as an ideal universal automation system for centralized and decentralized configurations and is used for "Programming Logic Controllers" courses held in Baku Higher Oil School as the practical learning tool.

The COM3LAB course automation and bus technology teaches the basic knowledge of programmable logic controller (PLC) and shows its networking including sensors and actuators by means of the PROFIBUS. With many examples, explanations, practices and practical tasks the base and mode of operation of the PLC and PROFIBUS are vividly represented which in turn used in Baku Higher Oil School as the practical equipment of some courses.



Electrical Engineering laboratories

Laboratory classes which are based on electrical engineering courses are the important part of Process automation engineering. In these laboratory classes students will be taught how to implement basic electrical circuits on the circuit board. Currently, there are three courses which utilize these circuits in their laboratory classes. They are Electrical Engineering 1&2 and Analogue Electronics. Some of the important laboratory topics of these courses are as follows:

Investigation of parallel and series R circuits

Amplifier circuits with Bipolar transistors

Investigation of Transient RC circuits

Two stage amplifier circuits

Investigation of RL circuit in AC steady state

Positive and Negative feedback circuits

Investigation of resonance in RLC circuits etc.

FET circuits etc.
