Student of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) Rahima Abbasova took part in the Regional Student Development Summit of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) for Russia and the Caspian region.

 

The event was attended by young specialists and students from Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

 

Twenty students from these countries were selected to participate in the summit, and five teams, each including four members, were formed from these students.

 

As part of the event, the students underwent training and a presentation competition was held among them.

 

The team, represented by the BHOS student Rahima Abbasova, took the second place in the competition.

 

During the trainings, the students mastered the secrets of improving technical knowledge and skills, and the young specialists listened to the recommendations of experts.

 

Note that the main goal of the non-governmental organization “The Society of Petroleum Engineers” is to promote the development of students and young engineers, to bring together experienced oil & gas industry specialists from around the world, to assist them in presenting the results of their scientific works, and to create conditions for holding various conferences, forums, summits and exhibitions at which students and young specialists can share their experiences.
