Prospective students with highest scores visit Baku Higher Oil School

Rector of Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) Elmar Gasimov has met with the prospective students who scored the highest at both stages of the I and II specialty group exams and their parents.

Among them were Fuad Gurbanov, who scored the highest at both stages of the I specialty group exam, and Aidan Eyvazova, the leader in the II group.

Elmar Gasimov congratulated the prospective students and their parents on their success. The rector gave recommendations to the young people aspiring to become BHOS students, spoke about the education process at Baku Higher Oil School and the university’s achievements. The rector stressed that since the establishment of Baku Higher Oil School, students who scored the highest in final and entrance exams have been choosing BHOS, adding that this figure is increasing every year.

“Every year, Mr. President awards presidential scholarships to 102 students with the highest scores. The number of presidential scholarship holders in our university is growing every year. Last year, 33 out of 102 presidential scholarship holders, i.e. 1/3, were BHOS students, which means that Baku Higher Oil School has become the country's leader in this indicator. We train educated and knowledgeable students to become highly qualified English-speaking professionals who work for the good of society. Our students continue their studies at the most prestigious universities in the world. They work in prestigious international companies around the world. We expect that you will also achieve such successes.”

After the meeting, the prospective students and their parents toured the campus of Baku Higher Oil School. They visited the 600-seat Congress Hall, the Oil Museum, a library, a swimming pool, two indoor sports halls, a student canteen, classrooms, modern learning labs, a fitness center, an artificial turf stadium, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, a track and field pitch, and the Student House.
